chop

what's up!? i was supposed to sleep early but someone pissed me off on msn so now i have to blog off my anger humph!! *grinds teeth* seriously what's up man! GRRRRR.

okay but i'm not gonna blog about it. i don wanna spoil the friendship. yet.

right so i watched 2 movies after i finished the essay-churning! Movies are my weakness. I would forgo sleep for movies hurhur. :)

Confessions of a Shopoholic is awesome! i stepped into the theatre expecting an average chick-flick but boy! i was pleasantly taken aback! the funny scenes juxtaposed with the touching ones so nicely! please go watch it. it's worth it. the lead actor looks damn hot too, bonus! to all those out there going: "but the book is so much better! the movie is so different!", well, fuck you. a book is a book, a movie is a movie. literary devices that work may not translate into a same theatrical technique, if you get what i mean. a movie adaptation is an adaptation. not a rip-off. what the writer wants to express may not be what the directors wants to. and both authors deserve to be judged based on the genre they produce in. so, yup. i think it's a good movie. so much so that it's better than the below. oops....

Shinjuku Incident. maybe because Ronns has alr told me the story line, i did not find the movie impressive. slightly exciting yes, because you wonder who is going to die in every fight scene. but yeah not a crap film but i probably won't wanna watch it again, if you get what i mean. too many mini climaxes littered throughout that i left the theatre feeling like i did not grasp the main point of the story. so what, and so how? and i wasn't surprised at the shots meant to surprise. then again, maybe it's because i alr know Daniel Wu's gonna lose his hand and Jackie Chan's gonna die before i stepped into the theatre.

Pics of Ronns, Jeanie and i can be found on Ronns' website (i dunno if she minds being linked). no need to go and see lah i look damn fat. but i do wanna post sth here. a pic i love, taken yesterday. because the flashlight cannot be avoided, i'm just happy it's right in the middle.
